About Denia

Denia is on “one level”, but nearby there are mountains, 45 km from Benidorm and approx. 100 km midway between Alicante and Valencia Airports. The city is famous for its 20 km of “blue flag” sandy beaches. In the shadowy main street, Marques de Campo, lined with trees and marble pavements, there are numerous shops, banks, boutiques, good quality Spanish style restaurants, taverns as well as lively, cosy bars with lots of terraces. There are 2 yacht harbours. There are also a few museums eg the Greek/Roman and the toys museum. The centre of Denia is crowned by the medieval castle; furthermore there are a casino, cinemas, disco, etc.

The silhouette of the Montgó (Elephant Mountain) determines your feeling of the centre of Denia and its coastline. Your escape to the country is worth the effort in all seasons: there is a special flora with 650 varieties of plants, colourful and delicate flowers and herbs; beautiful sights, especially at 750 m high on the Elephant: a Natural Park (and mountain!). Sea views are everywhere, you don’t need to look for it! You can take frequently ferries which travel everyday from Denia to Ibizza, Formentera and Majorca. You can visit charming villages such as Gata, Xabia, Benissa, Moraira, Calpe, Benidorm, the magnificent fortress of Guadalest and the beautiful city of Valencia and also Alicante. The huge Aqualandia Water Park and Terra Mitica theme Park are in Benidorm.
